Lisa is new to swimming, and open water swimming. She started hanging out with J and K pods 2 years ago and has been by their side ever since.
When Lisa first me the Spirit Orcas she could not swim. Yet she would come to the ocean every opportunity available to her try – teaching herself. Early 2022 Coach Susan decided the best thing the Spirit Orcas could do for Lisa was to teach her to swim and to give her an opportunity to become a Spirit Orca.
Lisa is now in training under the watchful eyes of Meliah, her assigned mentor/coach and friend. This year Lisa hopes to swim her first 1 kilometre lake swim.
